Cristóbal Bernardo Mejía Corral

Cristóbal Bernardo Mejía Corral (born December 4, 1954 in the province of Carhuaz , Ancash region , Peru ) is a Peruvian clergyman and appointed Roman Catholic bishop of Chulucanas .

Life

Cristóbal Bernardo Mejía Corral initially studied electrical engineering in Lima before entering the seminary of the Archdiocese of Lima . On December 18, 1989, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Lima.

With the establishment of the diocese of Lurín in 1996 he was incardinated in its clergy . In addition to pastoral work, he was Episcopal Vicar from 1997 to 1999 and Vicar General of the Diocese of Lurín from 1999 to 2006 . Since 2007 he has been a member of the Board of Directors and since 2008 of the college of consultants of the diocese.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Chulucanas on April 2, 2020.
