Cristián Carlos Roncagliolo Pacheco

Cristián Carlos Roncagliolo Pacheco (born September 10, 1969 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean, Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Santiago de Chile .

Life

Cristián Carlos Roncagliolo Pacheco studied law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile before entering the seminary . After studying philosophy and Catholic theology , he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Santiago de Chile on July 3, 1999 from Archbishop Francisco Javier Errázuriz Ossa Ich .

In addition to his work as chaplain, he was secretary of the national commission for the celebration of the anniversary year 2000 . He was appointed archbishop's secretary and acquired by other studies, the licentiate at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He then went to Rome, where he studied pastoral theology at the Pontifical University of the Salesians and was awarded a Dr. theol. received his doctorate . During his doctoral studies he was Vice Rector of the International College of St. Charles Borromeo in Rome .

Back in his home diocese, he was in charge of pastoral work at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where he had been Deputy Grand Chancellor since 2011.

On 23 March 2017 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Hospita and auxiliary bishop in Santiago de Chile. The Archbishop of Santiago de Chile, Ricardo Cardinal Ezzati Andrello SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on April 29 of the same year . Co- consecrators were his predecessor Francisco Javier Cardinal Errázuriz Ossa ISch and the Archbishop of Antofagasta , Pablo Lizama Riquelme .
