Cristian Călin Panin (born June 9, 1978 in Arad , Arad County ) is a former Romanian football player . The full-back played a total of 217 games in the Romanian League 1 . Panin played for CFR Cluj since summer 2004 and won the Romanian championship in 2008, 2010 and 2012.

Career

Panin started his professional career in 1997 in Divizia B at UTA Arad . As UTA in the 2002/03 season in Divizia A (now League 1 played), he made his debut there on August 18, 2002. In the summer of 2004 he moved to CFR Cluj because had just risen to the Divizia A. Later he was involved in the tremendous success of the club in the years 2008 and 2010 the Romanian Cup and in the years 2008 , 2009 and 2010 three times won the Romanian Cup in a row. In the season 2010/11 he could not build on the successes with his team and finished the season in midfield, the group stage of the Champions League in last place. A year later he became Romanian champion for the third time.

National team

Panin made his debut for Romania on November 19, 2008 in a 2-1 win over Georgia . There was only one more international match against the Faroe Islands in autumn 2009 .
