Cristian Vaquero , full name Christian Andrés Vaquero Abad , (born January 8, 1986 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

Depending on the sources, 1.81 meters or 1.82 meters tall, both as a midfielder and as an offensive player, "Totono" Vaquero was in the 2006 squad of the Reserva Universidad de Chile . He played from the Apertura 2007 until the 2009/10 season at the Uruguayan first division club Atlético Cerro . In the 2009/10 season there are six league appearances and one goal scored for him. He then moved to the Boston River in February 2010 . As early as April 2011, he was listed in the 2011 Clausura as a goal scorer at the Huracán Football Club . Also in the 2011/12 season he was in the ranks of the second division. He scored the first of his five goals this season on October 29, 2011. By the start of the play-offs, he scored four more times. The sixth and last goal of the season he succeeded on June 9, 2012 in the quarter-finals of the promotion round against Atenas . His club ultimately failed only in the two finals on Progreso and thus just missed promotion to the Primera División . This was followed by a stint at the Venezuelan club Yaracuyanos FC . In June 2012 he then joined Alianza FC in El Salvador . There he played nine league games in the 2012/13 season and scored three goals. At the turn of the year he went into a new engagement with Alianza's league competitor Santa Tecla . In the rest of the season he came to his new employer to 16 more appearances in the Primera División and scored four times in the opposing goal. In the 2013/14 season he played 33 league games and scored nine goals. In July 2014, he moved within the league to Club Deportivo Dragón , for whom he scored one goal in four league appearances in the 2014/15 season. He then returned to Uruguay at the beginning of September 2014 and has played again for the second division Huracán FC since then. In the 2014/15 season he played seven games in the Segunda División there until mid-December 2014 and scored five goals. From the end of November 2014 - thus partially contradicting this information - until the second half of January 2015, Vaquero was involved with Sriwijaya FC in Indonesia and then with Guabirá until the beginning of August 2015 . In the 2015/16 season he was used at Huracán in October and November 2015 a total of five times (two goals) in the league. In mid-January 2016, his further career path led again to El Salvador. He signed a contract with CD Chalatenango and ran three times (no goal) in the league. Since mid-July 2016 at the latest, he has been in the squad of the Colombian club Boyacá Chicó FC , where he played five league games (no goal). In mid-February 2017, the Uruguayan second division Club Atlético Progreso signed him .
