Critical Solution is a Norwegian heavy and thrash metal band from Helleland that was formed in 2005.

history

The band was formed in 2005, but is seriously operated only since 2011, after working in Andy LaRocques Sonic Train Studio in Sweden Varberg began. In 2013 the debut album Evil Never Dies was released . In the same year, Marduk and Grave went on their first tour through Europe , which spanned 13 countries. After appearing together with Diamond Head in 2014, ten concerts with WASP followed in September and October 2015 . In December 2015, the second album Sleepwalker was released on Punishment 18 Records . Andy LaRocque ( King Diamond ), Michael Denner and Hank Shermann from Mercyful Fate , Whitfield Crane ( Ugly Kid Joe ) and Mika Lagrén (Grave) can be heard as guest musicians on their two albums .

style

Andrija “TheIslander” Petrovic from metal-temple.com wrote in his review of Evil Never Dies that this is a concept album that tells the story of the protagonist Wallace Green. Here the group plays Thrash Metal, which is based on the 1980s. The bass and drums sound energetic, while guitar solos are occasionally interspersed. The vocals are reminiscent of James Hetfield's , although the group as a whole does not sound like a Metallica copy. Dave Hodges from metal-observer.com assigned Sleepwalker to Heavy Metal, which was heavily influenced by various Thrash Metal styles and occasionally also Speed Metal . Sometimes the music doesn't fit into a specific category. Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets could be used as comparison albums, although the group avoided sounding exactly like Metallica. Occasionally the music is technically demanding or slightly progressive . Playing the bass is creative and the band makes use of tempo changes every now and then.
