The Croissel is a river in France that runs in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises on the municipal border of Cornouaille and Belligné , initially drains in an easterly direction, but then turns to the west and after a total of 24 kilometers flows into the Erdre as a left tributary in the local area of Saint-Mars-la-Jaille , which here becomes a small lake is pent up. On its way, the Croissel crosses the Maine-et-Loire and Loire-Atlantique departments .
