The Crystal Glacier (Eng. "Crystal Glacier") is a glacier in the North Cascades National Park in the US state of Washington on the southern slopes of Mount Shuksan . It descends 1.25 mi (2 km) due east of the summit of Mount Shuksan from 2,499 meters to 1,768 meters. Near its point of origin, the Crystal Glacier is connected to the larger Sulphide Glacier in the west, and at its upper limits with the East Nooksack Glacier and the Hanging Glacier . Both Crystal and Sulphide Glacier have a series of 300 ft (91 m) to 1,000 ft (305 m) high cascades that are collectively known as the Sulphide Basin Falls. Below these cascades is Sulphide Lake , which drains over Sulphide Creek Falls , at 2,200 ft (671 m) one of the highest waterfalls in North America.
