The Cuauhtémoc (identification: BE-01) is a sailing training ship of the Mexican Navy .

In 1981/82 it was built at the Celaya shipyard in Bilbao , Spain , together with three sister ships, Simón Bolívar ( Venezuela ), Guayas (Ecuador) and Gloria ( Colombia ) . The similarity with the ships of the Gorch Fock class built by Blohm & Voss in the 1930s is great.

Commissioned on July 29, 1982, the barque is primarily used for officer training in the Navy and regularly takes part in regattas with success . The home port of the Cuauhtémoc is Acapulco .
