Holt McCallany (* 3. September 1963 or 1964 in New York City as Holt Quinn McAloney ) is an American actor .

Life and accomplishments

Holt McCallany is the son of actress and singer Julie Wilson , his father was the actor and producer Michael McAloney (died May 16, 2000 in New Jersey). McCallany grew up in Nebraska . He attended school in Ireland and later took acting lessons in Paris . McCallany made his debut in the play Biloxi Blues .

McCallany played his first film role in 1987 in the horror film Creepshow 2 . In the action film Project: Peacemaker , he appeared on the side of George Clooney and Nicole Kidman . In 2001 he played the role of Henri Brulé , an ex-prisoner who seduces his probation officer Jenny Capitanas ( Jennifer Beals ) in the thriller Out of Line . In the horror film Below he took on a larger role in 2002.

In the television series CSI: Miami , he played the role of Detective John Hagen from 2003 to 2005 . He then had guest appearances in various television series such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , Heroes and CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators . Since 2017 he has played one of the leading roles in the series Mindhunter .
