Curt Adam

Curt Adam (born May 11, 1875 in Berlin ; † January 9, 1941 there ) was a German ophthalmologist.

Life

Curt Adam was the son of the businessman Franz Adam in Berlin. He studied medicine at the University of Marburg , and in 1896 the Corps Hasso Nassovia recipiert . When he was inactive, he switched to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin and the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . In 1903 he received his doctorate in Berlin. He completed his habilitation in 1910 and then worked as a private lecturer in ophthalmology at Berlin University.

In 1914 he succeeded Robert Kutner as editor-in-chief of the journal for medical training , he was general secretary of the Reich Committee for medical training and director of the Kaiserin-Friedrich-Haus for medical training in Prussia. As a collaborator, he was involved in the lexicon of the entire therapy . In memory of C. Adam, the Curt Adam Prize for outstanding medical advanced training was awarded by the Congress Society for Medical Advanced Training, Berlin, for decades.

Curt Adam died in Berlin in 1941 at the age of 65. His grave is in Cemetery III of the Jerusalem and New Churches in Berlin-Kreuzberg . On the front of the grave stele, a relief tondo is carved out with the portrait of the dead person in profile.
