Curt Lindström (born November 26, 1940 in Uppsala ) is a former Swedish ice hockey coach and member of the Finnish Hall of Fame in ice hockey.

Career

During his coaching career in ice hockey , he first worked in Sweden from 1972 to 1983 at Hammarby IF , Södertälje SK , Huddinge IK and IFK Lidingö . The next two years he was with the coaching staff of the Swedish national ice hockey team . In 1985/86 he was again a coach at IFK Lindigö and then coach of the national team at the 1986 World Cup . From 1986 to 1988 he worked again in the coaching staff of the national team before he was coach at EHC Kloten from 1988 to 1990 . From 1990 to 1992 he took over as a coach at EC Hedos Munich in the Bundesliga . After his release in Munich he took over as coach Södertalje SK for the rest of the season. From 1993 to 1996 he was the coach of the Finnish national ice hockey team , which he coached at the 1994 Winter Olympics and the 1994 World Championship and at the 1995 to 1997 World Championships . After a break as a coach, he took over as coach of the Hannover Scorpions in the DEL during the 1999/00 season . 2000/01 he was the coach of MB Hockey before the 2001 to 2004 coach Latvian national ice hockey team was and that in the 2002 World Cup bis 2004 supervised. During the 2004/05 season he took over as coach Tampereen Ilves and then during the 2005/06 season Jokerit Helsinki . In 2006 he ended his active coaching career.

In addition to his coaching career, he worked as a teacher. As the owner of an employment agency, he was convicted of tax evasion.
