Cyr-Nestor Yapaupa

Cyr-Nestor Yapaupa (born February 26, 1970 in Bangassou ) is a Central African priest and bishop of Alindao .

Life

Cyr-Nestor Yapaupa was ordained a priest on March 18, 2001 for the diocese of Bangassou . He was incardinated on December 18, 2004 in the clergy of the newly founded diocese of Alindao .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on May 14, 2012 Coadjutor Bishop of Alindao. The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Cardinal Fernando Filoni , ordained him episcopal on July 22nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Jude Thaddeus Okolo , Apostolic Nuncio in the Central African Republic and Chad , and Edouard Mathos , Bishop of Bambari .

With the age-related resignation of his predecessor Peter Marzinkowski on March 19, 2014, he succeeded him as Bishop of Alindao.
