The Diocese of Bangassou ( Latin Dioecesis Bangassuensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Bangassou in the Central African Republic . It includes the prefectures of Haut-Mbomou and Mbomou .
history
Pope Pius XII founded the Apostolic Prefecture Bangassou with the Apostolic Constitution Cum pro certo on June 14, 1954 from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Bangui .
With the Apostolic Constitution Quod sacri Evangelii she was raised to the diocese on February 10, 1964. On December 18, 2004, it lost part of its territory to the Alindao diocese .
