Cyril Régamey

Cyril Régamey (born September 27, 1977 in Pully , VD) is a Swiss percussionist who has emerged in both classical music and jazz .

Live and act

Régamey received lessons in classical percussion at the École de Musique de Pully between 1983 and 1992. He graduated from the Conservatoire de Lausanne with Stéphane Borel with a diploma with distinction; at the same time he studied drums at the École de Jazz de Lausanne.

During this time he played in the classical field in the Orchester de Chambre de Lausanne, Orchester de Chambre de Genève, Orchester Symphonique Suisse des Jeunes. Center International de Percussions de Genève, Compagnie Roland Auzet, but also with IRCAM Paris. He was also a member of Yannick Oppliger's Explosive Drums Orchestra and Patricia Bosshard's Inentropia . With Le Car de Thon in 2009 he interpreted intuitive music by Karlheinz Stockhausen . He also worked with François Lindemann, Ohad Talmor , Ben Monder , Moncef Genoud , Robin Kenyatta , Dan Weiss , Sylvie Courvoisier , Patrice Moret , Marco Muller and Pierre Audétat . Prizes and awards

In 2000 Régamey was awarded first prize for his virtuosity as a student at the Conservatoire de Lausanne. In 2003 he received the Prix ​​Leenard and in 2005 first prize in the Redding improvisation competition.
