Czerńczyce (German Kapsdorf ) is a village in the municipality of Kąty Wrocławskie (Kanth) in the powiat Wrocławski in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .
history
Kapsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1374. The first known chief was Gunzelinus de Seydlicz, he was listed as the owner of the village. The village belonged to the von Seydlicz family for over two centuries. Through a marriage, the village became the property of the Zedlitz family. Kapsdorf remained in the possession of the Zedlitz family until the end of World War II . It was largely spared from damage, but the village fell into disrepair during the Soviet Union .
Attractions
- In the village there is a three-story castle built around 1735 in the Baroque style. Above the entrance is the coat of arms of Baron Zygmunt von Zeydlitz and Leipe (left) and his wife Eleonora nee. Freiin von Czettritz and Neuhaus (right).
