Dániel Kiss ( Hungarian Kiss Dániel ; born August 2, 1991 in Dunaújváros ) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with DVTK Jegesmedvék in the MOL league since 2018 .

Career

Dániel Kiss began his career with Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in his hometown, for whom he made his debut in the Hungarian league as a 16-year-old . With his team he was Hungarian champion in 2013 and cup winner in 2010, 2011 and 2012 . He also won the multinational MOL league with the club in 2012 and 2013 . After these successes, he was signed in 2013 by Alba Volán Székesfehérvár , the Hungarian club in the Austrian ice hockey league, for whom he played for a year and a half. In the middle of the 2014/15 season he then moved to Újpesti TE . For the capital club he was on the ice in the MOL league until 2018. He then moved to DVTK Jegesmedvék in the Slovak extra league .

International

For Hungary , Kiss took part in the tournaments of the U18 World Championships in Division II 2007 and 2008 and Division I 2009 as well as in the U20 World Championships in Division I in 2009 and Division II in 2010 and 2011 .

In the senior division, he was in his country's squad for the first time at the World Cup in Division I in 2015 , when the Magyars managed to return to the top division six years after relegation. He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
