Dänija Madiqysy Jespajewa ( Kazakh Дәния Мадиқызы Еспаева , Russian Дания Мадиевна Еспаева Danija Madijewna Jespajewa * 5. March 1961 in Jajssan, Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician .

Life

Danija Jespajewa was born in 1961 in the village of Jajssan in today's Märtök district in the Aqtöbe area. She graduated from the Alma-Ata Academy of Banking in 1982 . She obtained another degree in economics from the Kazakh State Academy of Management in 1993 .

After graduating, she first worked at the State Bank of the USSR in the credit department of the regional administration in Aktyubinsk . Between 1988 and 1991 she was employed by Promstroibank. From 1995 to 1997 she worked in the credit department of the Aqtöbe regional department of AlemBank . She then held another position at BTA Bank for nine years before becoming director of the Aqtöbe branch in 2006. From November 2014 she headed the regional branch of Kazkommertsbank in Aqtöbe. Since August 2008 she was a member of the regional parliament of the Aqtöbe area, where she was a member of the Commission for Family and Women.

After the parliamentary elections in 2016 , she became a member of the Aq Schol party in the Maschilis , the Kazakh parliament. Since then she has been a member of the Finance and Budget Committee.

In the early presidential election in 2019 , Jespaeva was nominated as a presidential candidate by her party Aq Schol. She is the first woman in the history of Kazakhstan to run for the office of president. She received around five percent of the vote.
