history
The Steyerberg municipality was formed in 1968 from the Steyerberg district and the surrounding communities of Bruchhagen, Deblinghausen, Düdinghausen, Sarninghausen, Sehnsen, Voigtei and Wellie and, as part of the community reform, on March 1, 1974, the unified community "Flecken Steyerberg" was formed.
