Dürnhausen is a district of the Upper Bavarian community of Habach in the Weilheim-Schongau district .

geography

The church village is about two kilometers east of Habach on the southern slope of the Eichbichl, a 699  m above sea level. NHN high molasse ridge , on the northern flank of which the Antdorf district of Frauenrain is located less than a kilometer away . The village is bordered to the south by the Sindelsbach .

The WM 1 district road runs through Dürnhausen and joins State Road 2038 a little west of the town . To the east, the county road turns into federal road 472 , which runs immediately south of the village.

history

Dürnhausen is mentioned for the first time in a Freising diocese description from the 8th century as Durfingshausen . Further variations of the name are Dirrenhausen and Dürrenhausen .

Here was a Huosi castle that was abandoned during the plague pandemic around 1348.

Franz Sales Gailler described Dürnhausen in 1756 as a "not to be despised village".
