The Roman Catholic branch church of St. Martin is located in the Habach district of Dürnhausen in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau . The listed church belongs as part of the parish of St. Georg Sindelsdorf to the deanery Benediktbeuern in the diocese of Augsburg . The address is Kirchweg 2, 82392 Habach .

history

The church was founded on July 25, 1063 by Bishop Bernard of Velletri on behalf of Bishop Henry II. Of Augsburg ordained . Count Sigimar II and his wife Kerpirg were the founders and builders of the church. Sigimar was probably a relative of Norbert von Hohenwarts . In 1294, the previously independent parish came to the collegiate monastery St. Ulrich in Habach. Around 1670 the interior was Baroque . In the course of secularization in Bavaria , Dürnhausen was parish changed from Habach to Sindelsdorf in 1806.

The church tower from the 15th century is connected to the simple hall church on the southern flank . The Romanesque nave was built in 1063, the late Gothic polygonal choir dates from the 15th century.

The church is surrounded by a plastered quarry stone cemetery wall from the 15th / 16th centuries. Century.

The organ used to be in the Gotzingen church of St. Jakob and was installed in Dürnhausen in 1862 by Balthasar Pröbstl .
