The Dürnholz family (Czech: z Drnholce ) was a Moravian aristocratic family who owned lands in Bohemia and Moravia , where they also founded numerous villages and towns.

  • According to legend, Count Pulin von Dürnholz is said to have been identical to Count Wilhelm von Pollau and, according to another legend, was the owner of Drnholec around 1180 . He is said to have made a pilgrimage to Rome for absolution out of repentance for atrocities committed. There the Pope is said to have instructed him to found a monastery in South Moravia.   • Wilhelm von Dürnholz and Hermann von Dürnholz owned Drnholec around 1240.
