The Dřevíč (German Erlitz ) is a right tributary of the Metuje in the Czech Republic .

course

The Dřevíč rises northwest of Hodkovice ( Hottendorf ) on the northeast slope of the Krupná hora ( Kraupen ) in the Závora ( Qualischer Riegel ) belonging to the Habicht Mountains . On its upper reaches the brook initially flows eastwards and is bridged by the Trutnov střed – Teplice nad Metují railway line. Then the brook takes a southerly direction, in its valley lying between the Habichtsgebirge and the Adršpach-Weckelsdorf rock town in the Polická vrchovina ( Politzer Bergland ) the villages Hodkovice, Janovice ( Johnsdorf ), Nové Dvorky ( Neuhöfl ), Nové Domy ( Neuhaus ) extend , Horní Vernéřovice ( Ober Wernersdorf ) and Dolní Vernéřovice ( Unter Wernersdorf ).

On its middle course, the Dřevíč takes a south-easterly direction and flows parallel to the Metuje through Vápenka ( Wapenka ), Stárkov and Horní Dřevíč ( Ober Drewitsch ). The lower course of the brook leads through a valley in which the village of Velký Dřevíč ( Großdrewitsch ) extends to the south. After 21.8 km of Dřevíč flows south of Velky Dřevíč or southwest of Žabokrky ( frog neck ) into the Metuje.

The mean flow rate at the mouth is 0.63 m³ / s.
