history

Neuhaus was laid out at the beginning of the 19th century on Dominikalgrund of the Bischofstein estate belonging to the Königgrätz diocese .

In 1836 the village of Neuhaus , also known as the new houses , in the Königgrätzer Kreis , consisted of 10 scattered houses in which 59 predominantly German-speaking people lived. The main source of income was agriculture and hand-weaving. Parish was Ober Wernersdorf . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained subject to Gut Bischofstein.

After the abolition of patrimonial Neuhaus formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Wernersdorf / Verniřovice in the judicial district of Politz . In 1868 the village was assigned to the Braunau district . After the dissolution of the municipality of Wernersdorf , Neuhaus belonged to the municipality of Ober-Wernersdorf as a district since the 1870s . In 1894 the village became part of the newly formed judicial district Wekelsdorf . From 1939 to 1945 it belonged to the German district of Braunau .

After World War II, Nové Domy returned to Czechoslovakia and the German residents were expelled . In the course of the municipal reform of 1960 Nové Domy was assigned to the Okres Trutnov after the repeal of the Okres Broumov. Horní Vernéřovice with its districts Dolní Vernéřovice, Nové Domy and Studnice was incorporated into Jívka in 1964 , and in 1980 the village lost its status as a district.
