After Bartholomäus' death in 1515, the rule returned to Hynko Špetle in 1528. This sold the property to Zdenko Lev von Rosental and Jan Kruschina von Lichtenburg . 1534 acquired Johann of Pernstein , the same year by his brother Vojtěch of Pernštejn the rule Nachod had inherited the reigns Skaly, Adersbach and Rýzmburk and they rested on his rule Nachod. In 1543 he sold the Skalý and Rýzmburk dominions and a year later the entire Nachod dominion to the Smiřický of Smiřice . The castle was subsequently abandoned; the fortress below was converted into a farmyard. After the Battle of White Mountain , the Smiřický were expropriated from Smiřice because of their participation in the Bohemian class uprising . In the course of the division of the estate between the brothers Věněk Skoch and Bernart Hertvík Čertorejský von Čertorej, governor of the Königgrätzer Kreis († February 14, 1654) the rule Katzenstein (Skály) was divided in 1625; Bernart Hertvík received the rule of Stárkov .

In 1662 the newly founded Diocese of Königgrätz acquired the ruined castle with the associated farm yard as a donation for the cathedral chapter . The place and castle were renamed Bischofstein from this point on .

The first Bishop of Königgrätz, Matthäus Ferdinand Sobek von Bilenberg , had a small castle built in the forecourt of the former castle, which was used by the cathedral chapter as a summer residence. Bischofstein castle and rule remained in the possession of the diocese until 1948.
