history
Adersbach Castle was first mentioned in 1348 in the “Majestas Carolina” as “castrum Eberspach”. It was probably built in the 13th century during the settlement of the border forest and served the Czech national defense. In 1354 it was owned by Hanuš von Adersbach and later passed to the aristocratic family Berka von Dubá . After Silesia became a subsidiary of the Bohemian Crown , the castle lost its strategic importance. In the Hussite Wars it came to robber barons who also carried out their robber raids in Silesia. After they continued the raids even after the castle had been returned to its rightful owners, the Silesian cities of Wroclaw and Schweidnitz acquired the castle together with the Upper Lusatian Six-City Union in 1447 and let it be razed.
Remains of the rock cellars and the masonry have been preserved.
