DHB Women's Cup 1976

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The games for the DHB Women's Cup, which was played for the second time in 1976 , only comprised two rounds. Only the three participants in the championship finals who had not won the title were eligible to participate . The participants were TSV GutsMuths Berlin , TSV Rot-Weiß Auerbach and SV Bayer 04 Leverkusen , who was the German runner-up for the cup final. The TuS Eintracht Minden had previously become German champions and therefore did not take part in the cup competition. The second finalist was determined in a semi-final with a return leg. The final took place on May 2, 1976 in Berlin . Last year's winner TSV GutsMuths defended his title and qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup , which was held for the first time in the following season . There the Berlin women reached the semi-finals, but then failed because of the Soviet representative Spartak Baku.
