DHB Women's Cup 1977

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The games for the DHB Women's Cup, which was played for the third time in 1977 , only comprised two rounds. Only the three participants in the championship finals who had not won the title were eligible to participate . The participants were TuS Eintracht Minden , SV Bayer 04 Leverkusen and TSV Rot-Weiß Auerbach , who was the German runner-up for the cup final. The TSV GutsMuths Berlin had previously become German champions and therefore did not take part in the cup competition and thus could not defend the title twice previously won. The second finalist was determined in a semi-final with a return leg. The final took place on May 7, 1977 in Vellmar . TuS Eintracht Minden won the title and qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup , but was eliminated in the first round against the Yugoslav representative RK Novi Sad.
