The 2008/09 DHB Women's Cup was the 35th staging of the most important German indoor handball cup competition for women. The 2009 DHB Cup winner was VfL Oldenburg , who defeated 1. FC Nürnberg in the final with 28:23. The defending champion was HC Leipzig .

For the 3rd round, the 10 Bundesliga clubs who were not relegated from the 2007/08 season and the two second division champions BV Borussia Dortmund (North season) and Frisch Auf Göppingen (South season) joined the winners of the 2nd main round .
