DJ Jackson (born August 25, 1986 in Samsun , bourgeois Kerem Akın ) is an Austrian DJ of Turkish origin who lives in Salzburg .

biography

Childhood and youth

Kerem was born in Samsun and shortly afterwards he moved with his parents to Ankara , where he attended elementary school in the Batikent district up to the second grade. For professional reasons of his father, who was employed in the Turkish Foreign Ministry , he moved with his family to Austria at the age of nine . There he continued his education from the third grade of elementary school and then graduated from the New Middle School (formerly Hauptschule ) and the vocational school for retail .

Musical career

Kerem discovered his love for DJing when he was 17 when he went to clubs for the first time. He started playing as a resident DJ in a trendy bar in Salzburg's old town. Shortly afterwards the first booking inquiries from the area followed and so Kerem was able to make a name for himself in the black and house music scene. In 2008 he met the hip-hop DJ and producer DJ Tomekk , who was on a club tour in Austria at the time, from whom he received the offer in 2014 to produce a mix for his current single “Touch It” with Nena Buddemeier . The single was released on May 30, 2014. The remix could be heard in episode 721 of the German reality soap opera Berlin - Tag & Nacht , which was broadcast on July 24, 2014 on RTL II . A short time later he produced remixes for the songs “Ready 2 Party” by DJ Rasimcan, Baby Brown & Leftside and “Do Your Dance” by Young Dee , which were promoted by the artists as an exclusive mix. On January 30th, 2015 he released his first electro house single “Storm” on the Salzburg label “Late Hour Entertainment”. Kerem has performed with artists such as Kollegah , Favorite , Slick One , Basshunter , Edo Maajka , Rafet el Roman and Yusuf Güney .

In 2016 he founded his own music labels Storm Music Austria and Tuğrem Müzik .
