Daft Punk's Electroma is a film by Daft Punk . The film is about two robots (the band members, played by Peter Hurteau and Michael Reich) who want to become humans.

action

The two main characters "Hero Robot No. 1" and "Hero Robot No. 2" appear as robot alter egos from Daft Punk. You begin your journey through the southwest of the USA in a Ferrari 412 , which bears the registration number "HUMAN". When they arrive in a city that is also inhabited by robots, both of them go into a building. A latex mask with human facial features is fitted to them in a white room .

After leaving the building, they are hunted down by the shocked residents of the place. The latex masks melt in the sun and are removed by both of them in a public toilet.

The two robots then wander through a salt desert. "Hero Robot No. 1" has a self-destruct mechanism activated by his companion after a while and explodes after a countdown .

"Hero Robot No. 2" wanders on, but collapses after a while and wants to destroy itself as well. However, he cannot activate the mechanism himself. Instead, he destroys his helmet, revealing the circuitry behind it. With a splinter of the helmet visor as a burning glass, he lights his hand in the setting sun.

The film ends with the burning robot slowly walking through the darkness of the desert.
