Dagmar Regina Täube (* 1961 in Grevenbroich ) is a German art historian. Since 2016 she has been director of the St. Annen Museum Quarter , the Museum im Holstentor and the St. Katharinen Museum Church in Lübeck .

Life

From 1980/81 to 1991 Dagmar Täube studied art history , education and German at the University of Bonn . Various scholarships ( DAAD , Cologne High School and Foundation Fund , Dr. Franz Stüsser Foundation) made it possible for her to study in Brussels , Utrecht and The Hague in 1987 and 1989 . In 1991, she was here with a dissertation on Monochrome painted plastic: Development - Distribution and significance of a phenomenon of Dutch paintings of Gothic Dr. phil is doing his doctorate.

From 1986 until 1996 she worked as a freelance museum educator for the Museum Service of the City of Cologne . From 1991 to 1994 she was a research assistant at the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Cologne and curated, among other things, the exhibition on Stefan Lochner . From 1994 to 1996 she was part of a research project on old Cologne painting in the research department of the museums of the city of Cologne.

From 1996 to 1997 she worked as a curator at the Schnütgen Museum in Cologne. In 1998 she took over the management of the German Glass Painting Museum in Linnich . In the same year she did a research stay at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London . From 1999 to 2012 she was deputy director of the Museum Schnütgen in Cologne and in 2010/11, after Hiltrud Westermann-Angerhausen's retirement, she was acting director of the museum. She curated various exhibitions; The reopening of the extended museum fell during her term of office in 2010. After Moritz Woelk was appointed director of the Museum Schnütgen and the end of the exhibition she curated Glory and Greatness of the Middle Ages , she left the museum in March 2012 and was director of the Draiflessen Collection in Mettingen , a private initiative of the Mettingen-based family of entrepreneurs , until 2014 Brenninkmeijer for collecting, securing and processing testimonials from the company and family history ( C&A ).

From 2014 to 2016 she was a freelance managing director of artcura. premium art support active. Since 2001 she has been a lecturer at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .

On September 1, 2016, she was appointed director of the St. Annen Museum , the Holstentor Museum and St. Katharinen by the Kulturstiftung Hansestadt Lübeck with effect from October 15, 2016 . She was the successor to Hildegard Vogeler , who had already retired in 2014, and Thorsten Rodiek . The St. Annen Museum and the St. Annen Art Gallery were consolidated into the St. Annen Museum Quarter .

Dagmar Taube's main research interests are glass painting and panel painting from the 14th to 16th centuries.
