Dalheim-Blankenrode was a municipality in the Westphalian district of Büren . Today the districts of Blankenrode and Dalheim belong to the city of Lichtenau and the district of Elisenhof to the city of Bad Wünnenberg in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Paderborn .

Neighboring communities were Husen in the district of Atteln, Holtheim in the district of Lichtenau (both in the Büren district), Scherfede and an exclave of the city of Warburg (both in the district of Warburg ), Oesdorf and Meerhof in the district of Wünnenberg , Helmern and Atteln in the district of Atteln (all four in the district Büren).

The Dalheim-Blankenrode community was dissolved on August 10, 1952. The new communities Blankenrode , Daheim and Elisenhof were established on their former municipality . All three belonged to the Atteln office in the Büren district. When the Sauerland / Paderborn Act came into force on January 1, 1975, most of the municipalities of the Atteln Office and thus also Blankenrode and Dalheim were merged with the municipalities of the Lichtenau Office to form the new town of Lichtenau (Westphalia) . The city of Lichtenau is the legal successor to the dissolved office of Atteln and the two dissolved municipalities. The community Elisenhof, however, was incorporated into the city of Bad Wünnenberg . Both cities came to the Paderborn district.
