history
An office Wünnenberg already existed at the time of the Principality of Paderborn as part of the Unterwald district . In 1844, as part of the introduction of the rural community order for the province of Westphalia in the Büren district, the Wünnenberg office was established. The office was dissolved by the Sauerland / Paderborn law on December 31, 1974. Lead wash, Fürstenberg and Leiberg became districts of the city of Bad Wünnenberg. Essentho, Meerhof, Oesdorf and Westheim became districts of the city of Marsberg .
