The 2000/01 season of the Austrian women's ice hockey league was played with five teams. The defending champions were the Gipsy Girls Villach . The Vienna Flyers became the new champions for the first time in the club's history after the team from Villach had dominated the league for the first two years of its existence. However, this season had to admit defeat after two clear 5-0 defeats in the semi-finals against the eventual champions.
