Damien Gaudin (born August 20, 1986 in Beaupréau ) is a French cyclist who is active on the road and track .
Athletic career
Damien Gaudin won the Chrono des Herbiers in the junior class in 2003 . The following year he made it to the podium again and came third. In 2006 Gaudin was French champion on the track in the disciplines of points , individual and team pursuit. In 2007 he won a stage at Bordeaux-Saintes and came second overall. He also finished second in the overall standings at the Tour du Haut Anjou . He was also able to win the U23 event of the classic Paris – Roubaix .
Between 2006 and 2012 Gaudin was primarily successful on the track. He was several times French champion of the U23 and the elite in the disciplines of single and team pursuit as well as in two-man team driving .
On March 3, 2013, Gaudin celebrated his greatest success on the road to date by winning the prologue to kick off the Paris – Nice long-distance journey . In 2017 he won several stages of tours and the one-day race Tro Bro Leon . In 2018 he won the prologue of the Tour of Luxembourg .
