Career

Poggenberg began playing football in the youth of SV Preußen Reinfeld . In 2008 he moved to Holstein Kiel via SV Eichede . By 2012 he had played 49 games in the professional team, in which he scored two goals, and three games for Holstein Kiel's second team. In summer 2012 he moved to the second team at VfL Wolfsburg . At the end of 2013 he signed a professional contract for the VfL Bundesliga team. After 64 games and three goals, he was awarded for one year to the third division Chemnitzer FC in the summer of 2014 . He played 35 league games for Chemnitz in the 2014/15 season and reached fifth place in the table with the team.

In the summer of 2015 he did not return to Wolfsburg, but signed a contract with MSV Duisburg, who had been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . After breaking his shin in preparation for the season, he only made ten league appearances in the second half of the season. At the end of the 2015/16 season he also played in the two relegation games against the Würzburger Kickers , which were lost 4-1 in the aggregate. He only contributed to the direct resurgence with four appearances after he had missed the entire first half of the season because of a ligament tear suffered again in the pre-season. After the 2017/18 season , his expiring contract with MSV was not extended. For the 2018/19 season he joined the third division club SG Sonnenhof Großaspach .
