Daniel Henry Kahnweiler Prize

The Daniel Henry Kahnweiler Prize is a German award for visual artists . It has been awarded at irregular intervals since 1981 by the "Kahnweiler Memorial Foundation" founded by the City of Rockenhausen in 1979 and is currently endowed with € 10,000 (as of 2015). In addition, there can be a sponsorship award of 2,500 euros. The award is made by an independent jury.

The award commemorates the art dealer Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler , who was an honorary citizen of Rockenhausen and bequeathed his library to the city.
