Daniel Drechsel-Grau

Daniel Drechsel-Grau (born October 11, 1976 in Kassel ) is a German director .

Life

After studying at the Werbe- & Medien Akademie Marquardt in Dortmund, he moved to Cologne , where in 2007 he took over the direction of the SAT.1 TV series “ Maddin in Love ”, which in 2008 received a nomination for the German Comedy Prize. From March 2009 Daniel Drechsel-Grau worked as a director at Hurricane Fernsehproduktion GmbH in Cologne, overseeing formats such as Schillerstraße and Switch Reloaded . In 2010 he took over the studio direction of Dieter Nuhr's "WM-Spezial" on RTL and of his annual review on ZDF. In 2011 he received a Grimme Prize nomination for "Switch reloaded - The Jungle Special". In August 2012 Daniel Drechsel-Grau began shooting the ZDF series Coast Guard (TV series) for Opal Filmproduktion . The following year he helped develop the new ZDF series "Kripo Holstein" and directed four episodes of the first season.
