Daniel Ericsson (born August 15, 1987 ) is a Swedish ski racer . His strongest disciplines are the downhill and the super-G as well as the super combination . In 2010 he became the Swedish Super-G champion.

Career

Ericsson took part in his first FIS race in February 2003 . After he had achieved a podium for the first time in December 2006, he came to his first appearances in the European Cup in February 2007 . The next month he took part in the 2007 Junior World Championship in Altenmarkt / Flachau , where he was ninth in the Super-G. On December 21, 2007 Ericsson won the first points in the European Cup with 26th place in the super combined from Altenmarkt-Zauchensee. Three weeks later he made his World Cup debut on the downhill from Wengen . So far, however, he has not achieved a place in any of his World Cup races, i.e. among the fastest 30. His best World Cup results so far are two 31st places in the super combinations of Beaver Creek on December 4, 2009 and Wengen on January 18, 2013. In the European Cup in March 2010, Ericsson finished in the top ten for the first time in the two super combinations of Sarntal / Reinswald . The following month he became Swedish Super-G champion in Björkliden .

In the summer of 2011, Ericsson started in the Australia New Zealand Cup . He won three races, but was injured on September 7th in a super combination on Mount Hutt and was only able to take part in competitions from the end of January in the next winter of 2011/2012.
