Daniel Fiolka

Daniel Fiolka (* 1974 in Hagen ) is a German opera and operetta singer ( baritone ).

Live and act

Daniel Fiolka studied singing and singing education at the Cologne University of Music , Aachen department . He graduated from both with honors. The singer attended master classes with Reinhard Leisenheimer , Júlia Hamari and Kurt Moll, among others . After stints at the Opera Studio Meran , the Opera Studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and the Landestheater Detmold , he was a member of the ensemble at the Theater Vorpommern (Stralsund / Greifswald / Putbus on Rügen) from 2001 to 2007 . In 2007 the singer moved to the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz as a permanent member of the ensemble , of which he was a member until 2012. Since 2012 he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Mainfrankentheater Würzburg. Numerous guest appearances have taken him to the music stages of Wiesbaden, Schwerin, Lübeck, Rostock, Detmold and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.

In addition to opera and operetta, Fiolka's great love is song singing. In 2008 he was awarded the Schubert Prize of the German Schubert Society for his services to the German song. V. excellent.

In 2015 the artist received a lectureship for singing at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg . Fiolka is married to the mezzo-soprano Kerstin Descher . The couple has a son.
