Daniel Flottmann (born August 6, 1984 in Osnabrück ) is a German soccer player .

Career

In his youth Flottmann first played for TuS Eintracht Rulle before he went to TSV Wallenhorst . From 2004 he played for VfL Osnabrück . There he was used for the first team in the Regionalliga Nord and from 2006 mainly for the second team in the major league . When he was no longer considered at Osnabrück, Flottmann switched to the western regional division SC Verl in 2008 . After two years he joined the third division club Rot Weiss Ahlen , who, however, had to be relegated at the end of the 2010/11 season . On June 26, 2011, the Wuppertaler SV Borussia announced the commitment of Flottmann. He signed a two-year contract with an option. After only a year, the defender changed again and joined the league rivals SC Fortuna Köln . With Fortuna, he failed in the 2012/13 season as second in the table, just short of promotion to the third division.

In the 2013/14 season, Flottmann became champions of the Regionalliga West with SC Fortuna Köln . In the two playoffs for promotion to the 3rd division , they beat the champions of the Regionalliga Bayern , the second team of FC Bayern Munich , with a 1-0 home win and a 1-2 away defeat thanks to the away goals rule. In the summer of 2017, Flottmann moved to the regional league club SV Rödinghausen .

Daniel Flottmann is the son of Heiko Flottmann , the ex-coach of VfL Osnabrück.
