Daniel Georgievski (born February 17, 1988 in Blacktown City , Australia ) is a Macedonian- Australian football player . The full-back has been playing for the Australian first division club Newcastle Jets since mid-2017 . In 2013 and 2014 he won the Romanian championship with Steaua Bucharest .
Career
Georgievski moved from Australia to the U-19s of the Croatian record champions Dinamo Zagreb in 2006 . There he did not make the leap into the first team, but switched to Međimurje Čakovec in the summer of 2007 , who fought in the 1st HNL to stay in the class. After relegation in 2008 , he stayed with the club and made it back to the House of Lords in 2009. The season 2009/10 he finished again in last place and then left the club to league competitor HNK Šibenik . In Šibenik, too, his task was characterized by the relegation battle, with Georgievski being used in two thirds of the games.
After relegation in 2012 Georgievski left Šibenik and joined the Romanian record champions Steaua Bucharest . This change turned out to be a stroke of luck, as he established himself as a regular as well as winning his first title with the 2013 championship . He was able to repeat this success a year later , but only made nine appearances. In September 2014 he moved back to Australia and joined the A-League club Melbourne Victory . There he won the championship in 2015 . In mid-2017 he moved within the league to the Newcastle United Jets .
National team
Georgievski played his first international match for the Macedonian national team on September 2, 2011 in the European Championship qualification against Russia . Since then he has been an integral part of the team of national coach Čedomir Janevski .
