Daniel Leistner (* 1965 ) is a German comic artist , theater actor , director of the Faust Festival in Pegnitz , director and director of the Shakespeare Games in Ludwigsstadt , head of the Werkbühne for the district of Kronach and the Werkbühne Pegnitz, as well as co-founder and former director of the Faust- Kronach Festival.

Life

Leistner studied literature and theater studies , German literature , comparative literature and history at the University of Bayreuth and completed an apprenticeship in applied theater studies at the University of Mainz . As an actor and director, he worked in various independent groups in Germany and Austria , such as the Schauspielhaus Nürnberg , the Innviertel theater uprising and the Viennese entertainment theater. Some of his own pieces were premiered in Vienna and Kiel . He also works as a radio comedy writer, audio book speaker and audio book director and has published his own comic books in addition to cartoons , graphics and comics in various magazines and journals.

Leistner is one of the longest serving directors in the German-speaking area. He headed the Faust Festival in Kronach from its founding in 1995 to the end of 2015, as well as the Shakespeare Games in Ludwigsstadt since 2011 and the Faust Festival in Pegnitz since 2016.
