Daniel Pankofer (born December 19, 1980 in Nuremberg , Germany ) is a former German handball player who last played in the 2nd Bundesliga at HC Rhein Vikings .

Career

Pankofer learned to play handball at the TV 1877 run. The next stop of the then Bayern selection player was CSG Erlangen . Pankofer initially played in the center of the circle and was retrained in Erlangen for center back space and left wing . His next stations were HSC 2000 Coburg and SG Leutershausen .

Pankofer was then obliged by the Danish first division club Helsinge, who merged with Hillerød to form Nordsjælland Håndbold . In February 2007 he dissolved his contract and joined the German second division club SV Post Schwerin . In 2009 Pankofer moved to the Greek first division club AC Diomidis Argous , with whom he took part in the EHF Cup . After the right-hander was voted "Player of the Year" by the coaches of the highest Greek league in the 2009/10 season, he returned to Erlangen. He ran a total of four seasons of Erlangen in the 2. Bundesliga before him in the 2013/14 season promotion to the Bundesliga succeeded. In the summer of 2014 he moved to the second division club VfL Bad Schwartau. After the 2015/16 season he moved to third division club Neusser HV . With Neuss, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2017. Since then, the men's teams from Neuss and the HSG Düsseldorf have been playing as HC Rhein Vikings. He ended his career after the 2017/18 season. Pankofer then took over the post of managing director at Rhein Vikings, which he held until November 2019. On January 1, 2020, he became managing director at VfL Bad Schwartau.
