Daniel Ramin Zimmermann (born October 30, 1985 in Rome ) is a German theater and film actor.

Life

Daniel Ramin Zimmermann spent the first years of his life in Rome as the son of an Iranian mother and a German father, but soon moved with his parents to Berlin , where he attended elementary school. As a teenager, he lived in Tübingen for a few years until he returned to Berlin in 2006 to complete his acting training at the Art of acting drama school there until 2009.

During his training, he was hired for a production at the Württemberg State Theater in Esslingen . From 2010 to 2012 he was a member of the ensemble at the Hannoveraner Theater fensterzurstadt .

He played the lead role in the 2010 short film Basement . The film received the rating valuable from the German Film and Media Assessment .

Zimmermann played various leading roles in the theater sitcom Gutes Wedding, Bad Wedding at the Prime Time Theater in Berlin , where he was a permanent member of the ensemble from 2012 to 2017.

The journalist and theater critic Reinhard Wengierek described Daniel Zimmermann in an interview with Alex Berlin as a "fantastic comedian [...] with a great aura".

In 2015 he was directed by Hartmut Schoen in the Hanoverian Tatort: ​​Spielverderber in a supporting role. The TV magazines TV Today and TV Spielfilm highlighted Zimmermann as an "interesting discovery" in their program preview.

In the four-part TV adaptation of the stage sitcom Gutes Wedding, Bad Wedding from rbb television , he was part of the main cast alongside Constanze Behrends , Stephan Grossmann and Chris Tall .
