Daniel Rono
Daniel Rono (born July 13, 1978 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon .
In 1995 he won the Alster run and the Altöttinger half marathon . He set his best time in the half marathon with 1:00:14 h in 2002 in Groningen .
In 2005 he won the Madrid Marathon , in 2006 the Mumbai Marathon and the Toronto Waterfront Marathon . In 2007 he finished third in the Paris Marathon and second in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon.
In 2008, when he came second in the Rotterdam Marathon , he improved his personal best by almost three minutes to 2:06:58 and came third in the New York City Marathon . In 2009 he finished second in the Boston Marathon and in 2010 seventh in Rotterdam.
