Daniel Sloss

Daniel Sloss (born September 11, 1990 in Kingston upon Thames , England ) is a Scottish entertainer , actor and author .

Life

Childhood and youth

Sloss was born in Kingston upon Thames , the oldest of four children. He moved to Fife with his family at the age of four . He attended East Wemyss Primary School and Waid Academy in Anstruther . According to his own account, he often spent his youth in Edinburgh . He started at the local comedy club, the Adam Smith Theater in Kirkcaldy , at the age of 8 and held his own program there for a year of playing at the age of 18.

His mother mentioned him against Frankie Boyle and gave the e-mail address him by Daniel, so there was a correspondence between them, in which Daniel jokes about asking for Boyle's BBC TV series Mock the Week to write . Boyle accepted the offer and rewarded him financially for it.

Having a place of history at the University of Dundee had received, he took instead a year off to focus on comedy to focus and decided after a show-participation in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2008, entirely a career in the entertainment industry to to attempt.

Career

He was the youngest comedian to have his own playtime on London's West End at the age of 19 . He began performing internationally at the age of 20 and has worked with BBC Worldwide 2entertain ever since .

On US television , he had 9 appearances in the stand-up comedy series Conan and in The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson from 2013 to 2018 .

In 2015 Daniel took part in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the seventh time with his show “DARK”. With this show he made 80 appearances through 15 countries in Europe. In January 2016 this show ran for a week at the Soho Theater in London.

In February 2016, he also performed the show for a week at the Soho Playhouse in New York and for two weeks at the Westside Comedy Theater in Los Angeles.

In 2019, he embarked on a tour that started in the UK in January and the US in February . Appearances in Australia in April 2019, further performances in the United Kingdom from May to October 2019, and performances in Germany in November 2019 were announced.

Private life

His sister, who was two years younger than him, was born with cerebral palsy and died at the age of 7. According to his own statements, he enjoys playing video games, watching entertainment programs and football matches from Chelsea FC .

Stand up specials

After the BBC released a live performance of him in 2012, afterwards on DVD, Daniel got live airtime on Netflix in September 2018 in a two-hour comedy special under “ Daniel Sloss - Live Shows ”.
