Daniel Stelter

Daniel Stelter (born May 29, 1964 in West Berlin ) is a German economist , author and blogger .

Life

Daniel Stelter studied economics at the University of St. Gallen from 1984 to 1988 . From 1988 to 1990 he did his doctorate there at the chair of Fredmund Malik with a dissertation on deflationary depression.

In 1990 he started his career in Munich with the Boston Consulting Group . Since 1998 he has been a partner in the Corporate Development Practice in Germany and Europe, and from 2003 he was responsible for this globally. From 2009 to 2013 he was a member of the company's global Executive Committee.

Since 2011 he has published more than 60 guest articles in Manager Magazin . He also writes a weekly column for Wirtschaftswoche . He has also published guest articles in the Handelsblatt and the Süddeutsche Zeitung . In 2015, Der Spiegel published a discussion between him and the economist Marcel Fratzscher , President of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), on the economic effects of the influx of refugees.

In 2010 he received the getAbstract International Book Award for his book Accelerating out of the Great Recession , which is presented annually at the Frankfurt Book Fair .

Stelter is married and has three children.
