Church building

Church exterior

About the geosteten square Romanesque choir is a massive church tower with Gothic increases and square hatches. The helmet was re-covered in 1975 after a fire. The windows in the choir are ogival. The corners of the nave are rounded. The facade is structured by pilaster strips . The gravestones on the southern church tower wall date from the second quarter of the 18th century: Simon Weihdrit († 1741) and two stones with a heart cartouche from 17th and 1726.

Church interior

The nave has four bays. Three of them are square vaults , one is under a transverse barrel. In between are belt arches that rest on pilasters . The yoke side walls are arched into deep niches. The gallery rests on wooden supports. A wide round arched triumphal arch separates the choir from the nave. Above the choir is a medieval ribbed vault , with the ribs being worked off.

Furnishing

The high altar is a baroque columned altar with a curved top. The two wooden statues from the third quarter of the 18th century depict St. John Nepomuk and St. Rochus of Montpellier . The newer altarpiece depicts the "Martyrdom of St. Bartholomew". At the left side altar is a niche above the predella with figures of the penitent Magdalena and St. Sebastian from the third quarter of the 18th century. The right side altar from the end of the 18th century has a predella with a relief of the “poor souls in purgatory” and there are putti on the gable .

The pulpit is decorated with sculptural putti from the 18th century. On the left side of the nave there is a stucco figure of St. Koloman from the third quarter of the 18th century. On the third pillar on the right side hangs a baroque All Saints picture from the 18th century.

War memorial chapel

At the old cemetery, east of the church, there is a small chapel. It is a small, newer gable building. Inside is a baroque stone pietà from the 18th century.
