Daniel Ricardo da Silva Soares (born January 30, 1982 in Felgueiras ) is a Portuguese football player . The midfielder has been under contract with FC Vizela in the Segunda Liga since summer 2016 .

Dani started his career in 2001 with his hometown club FC Vizela in the Portuguese Segunda Divisão and moved to FC Paços de Ferreira in the SuperLiga in 2006 . After half a year he changed clubs again in January 2007 and came to CFR Cluj in the Romanian league 1 . During his time at CFR Cluj, he won five titles - twice the Romanian championship and three times the Romanian cup . In the summer of 2010 Dani left Romania and moved to Iraklis Thessaloniki in Greece . After a year he left Iraklis and joined league rivals Skoda Xanthi . After two seasons in midfield of the Super League , he left Xanthi in summer 2013 and returned to Vitória Setúbal in his home country. There he played with his new team to stay in class. While he was still a regular in the first two years, he was often on the bench in the 2015/16 season . In summer 2016 he left Setúbal for FC Vizela in the Segunda Liga .
